Required Kansas Funeral Continuing Education Hours

Funeral Director

12 CE hours are required every 2-year license term. Only 6 hours of the 12 required for CE can be satisfied through self-study courses.

Embalmer

12 CE hours are required every 2-year license term. Only 6 hours of the 12 required for CE can be satisfied through self-study courses.

Crematory Operator/Cremationist

2 hours of Crematory CE are required every 2-year license term.

Funeral Directors and/or Embalmers who are also Crematory Operators

14 CE hours including 2 hours of Crematory CE are required every 2 year license term. Only 6 hours of the 14 required for CE can be satisfied through self-study courses.
