What is Self-Study Continuing Education (CE)?
Self-study Continuing Education courses are correspondence programs completed via online. Since no specific classroom time is required, you must pass a multiple choice exam to assure your state agency that sufficient training time was spent and proficiency was attained.

FuneralCE has courses available for funeral director and embalmer continuing education in ALL states that require continuing education.
FuneralCE offers courses for Funeral Directors and Embalmers license types, as well as Combined licenses and Direct Disposers where applicable.

How do I set up a User ID and a Password for FuneralCE.com?
If you are a new FuneralCE user, once you have made your course selections on the Course Catalog, click
Process Order. You will then be prompted to create a new user ID. If your desired User ID is not already in use by another WebCE customer, you will be prompted to create a password and complete your personal profile. If the desired User ID is taken, you will be prompted to select something else for your account. If you need assistance, please call 1-877-332-8480.

If you have attempted to use a User ID and password that does not match the information we have in our system, please follow the online retrieval instructions. If the retrieval process does not work, contact FuneralCE at 1-866-332-8423.

Yes. WebCE has taken many precautions to ensure that our systems are secure and that they meet industry standards, including the application of firewalls for our Internet-based systems. What personal information does FuneralCE store about me?
For the purposes of creating certificates of completion and reporting your CE credits to your state department of insurance, FuneralCE must have your full name, address, daytime phone number, and license number. Some states also require the use of your Social Security Number for reporting credits. A credit card will be required to process your order online; however, FuneralCE DOES NOT store credit card information and the card information is entered on a secure and encrypted page. How long does FuneralCE maintain my account information?
Your entire course history with FuneralCE will be stored and available to you anytime online for a minimum of five years.

FuneralCE has several courses available, how do I know which ones to choose?
To help you select your courses, click on the ‘State Requirements’ link on the left hand side of the screen once you are at the course catalog for your state. The State Requirements will also tell you your state’s rules on repeating courses. Courses approved for special state requirements are specifically noted next to each course title in the course catalog for that state.

How do I receive a receipt?
For online purchases, you may print a complete itemized invoice of your CE purchase from the website. To print an online receipt:

How do I find the price for FuneralCE courses?
Go to the
Course Catalog page to see the individual course prices before discounts and bundle package pricing. Our bundle package pricing significantly reduces your cost per CE course. To qualify for the bundled discount all courses must be ordered at one time and for one agent. Details on bundled discounts are explained at the top of the course catalog for each state.

What is the difference between “price before discount” and “bundled pricing”?
The “price before discount” is the individual course price to be paid if you select ONLY that single course for your order. “Bundled pricing” gives you a discounted price if you order multiple courses at one time. When you order multiple courses at the same time the bundled price discount is automatically applied at checkout. All courses must be ordered at one time and for only one student. Prices before discount and bundled pricing do not include state filing fees or books and shipping if they apply. Some specialty courses are not subject to the bundled package discounts.

No. The course price includes the course as well as all grading and certificate fees.

Do my courses expire?
You have 12 months from the date of purchase to complete your courses for credit. Courses will expire after that time. Your expiration date will be listed in your online account.

Yes, FuneralCE will exchange courses at no charge. Course exchange can be done by calling 1-866-332-8423.

If I choose online delivery, how do I access the FuneralCE course material?
Online courses will be accessed by logging into your account from the Sign In link with the User ID and password you established or were given by one of FuneralCE’s call center representatives. After signing in, simply click on the course title you wish to begin from the Available Courses menu on your FuneralCE

At this time you cannot print the material. You will have the option in your courses to save notes and print those before you begin your exam. The exam will only be available online.

What is a passing score?
All courses being taken for funeral CE credit must be completed with a passing score of 70% or higher.

No, the exams are not timed.

What happens if I do not pass my exam?
If you do not pass an online exam, the system will automatically give you the opportunity to retest online. All retests will contain a different set of test questions from your original exam. FuneralCE offers unlimited retakes, and there is no charge for additional test attempts.

How many questions are on the exam?
Exams typically contain 25-50 questions. The length of exams will vary by state and credit hours awarded. Some exams will be more than 50 questions if required by your state or 3rd party authority.

How do I get access to my online exam?
Online course and exam materials are available immediately after payment by logging into your online account. To access the exam for a specific course, click on the course title under “Available Courses”. Select “Online Course & Test” and your exam will be located at the bottom of the table of contents.

How long does it take to get certificates of completion?
In most cases, certificates of completion are available to print online. If not, they are mailed within 2-3 business days after online exam completion.

Can I print my certificates of completion from the Internet?
Online certificates are available in most states, and can be printed immediately upon completion of the course, or anytime thereafter. If your state does not allow online certificates, FuneralCE will mail the certificates of completion to the permanent address on file.

What do I do if I have lost my original certificates?
FuneralCE maintains your records for up to 5 years. We can create a duplicate certificate of completion. There is no charge for this service.

Does FuneralCE report results in my state?
Not all states require or want approved CE providers to report your completion information. For those states that do require reporting, we usually send the completion information to the state at least once every 10 business days.

How does FuneralCE use my email address?
Once you complete an order, FuneralCE will send you a reminder of your login information and an order confirmation for your records. From time to time FuneralCE or its co-brand partners may send its customers information about products or services related to their profession. Finally, FuneralCE may send you a reminder of your CE requirements the next time your renewal date rolls around. If you do not wish to receive these messages, you simply uncheck the “opt in” from your profile. FuneralCE never sells the information we receive from our customers.

How do I find out how many funeral CE credit hours I need?
FuneralCE offers state requirements for each state. Go to the course catalog for your resident state and click on “State Requirements,” which will appear as a link in the left menu bar.

How do I find my license number and renewal date?
Your license number should be located on the information received from your state. In some states, the license number is also your social security number. If you do not have a renewal date, use your CE compliance date.
